Marketing Pond - A Great Referral Builder

Just what is Marketing Pond??

If you are like me, you are probably a member of multiple programs that include PaidtoClick, PaidtoSignup, PaidtoRead and Traffic exchanges. I know for a fact that promoting these programs for referrals is no easy feat and requires a lot of effort and advertising.

Well at Marketing Pond, all that promoting is made easy. Marketing Pond have compiled for its members a Single Marketing Page like this one promoting all the well known programs today like Clixsense, Adbux and LinkGrand. All you have to do is join the Marketing Pond, enter all your affiliate id in the the respective programs and just promote ONE url! It's that easy, and guess what - if by chance someone sign up under your downline and that person is not a member of that particular program, that the new signup becomes your downline! Get the idea?? You could be getting downlines from your downlines!

Now that's what I call smart marketing.

To our success

How much is your blog worth??

Here's a fun thing that I saw while surfing today.. According to this little tool my blog is worth ...jeng jeng jeng....lol.

My blog is worth $5,080.86.
How much is your blog worth?

Inspired by Tristan Louis's research into the value of each link to Weblogs Inc, Dane Carson, the author over at "Business Opportunies Weblog" has created this little applet using Technorati's API which computes and displays your blog's worth using the same link to dollar ratio as the AOL-Weblogs Inc deal.

Check out how much your blog is worth...cheers!

Fummo.com - Another Scam

Ok..ok.. I'm big enough to admit that I'm wrong. A few members in the money making world have told me that this program is too good to be true, has too many uncertainties and simply not able to sustain.

When fummo launched late last month, it opened with a big offer at Hostgator.com. Basically you get hosting there for one month at a very discounted rate of $0.01 and in return you get $70 into your account after verification. I know some of you are already giving me that sheepish smile... hehehe... but you know... it was only $0.01!

Anyway.. me and a few others that signed up waited in anticipation for that $70 and days turned to weeks and eventually the discounted one month hosting was coming to an end. If I don't terminate my account by 22 June, Hostgator will charge me USD20+ .. So I terminated my account with Hostgator and still the money never got into my fummo account. Oh well.. I guess another one bites the dust.

The irony is Fummo is still operating and once in a while I will get a reminder that there is still $100 to be claimed when I complete another offer.. yeah.. what do you take me for... a sucker??? heheheh

A Definitive List of Paid Blogging Website

I was over at PajamaProfessional (thanks Sara and happy belated birthday to you) today and there was a specific post that attracted me and pointed me right to DoshDosh.com. Maki, the author, wrote on "A Definitive List of Paid Blogging Website". He highlighted 17 sites that pay you to blog!.. and cash is always "Sweet" in my books :-)

Anyway, there were already a few that I was a member of and a few more that I've never heard off so thank you Maki for highlighting them in your blog. I've registered to some and even got approved at one almost instantly.. Really cool!! Made my day since losing that account at mylot . (arghghghghgh)

The importance of changing Password Regularly

Another way to Monetize your Website

My blog just got approved for another get paid to blog program at Smorty.com. Let me tell you this program works like lightning. I applied and surfed around, and the next thing I know, my blog was approved and I've got three opportunities to write about.

Similar to other paid to post program, Smorty is another avenue for advertisers to advertise on blogs and reach the ever increasing internet market. The more exposure they get from registered blogs, the more awareness there is for their products and services. So it's really a win-win situation for both advertisers and publishers alike. For me, I get to blog for money :)... Sweet!

Among some of the criteria for your blog to qualify are your blog : -
must be indexed by Google and Yahoo
must be older than 3 months
must not contain any violent, hate related or adult content
must be active and have a history of minimum average 2 new post per week

You can also visit their FAQ pages here.

This is an international opportunity and payment is by paypal on weekly basis.

The importance of changing Password Regularly.

I have been taught a very, very bad lesson yesterday regarding internet security. I have always been one who is too lazy to change password simply because I thought logging out after each session from a website is sufficient.

Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!

You would noticed from my previous post that my myLot account has been hijacked. The amount of money that is accumulated there is not much (although I have reached payout for next month). It is the idea of someone in my account, using my ID. I feel so violated, so robbed. I know some of you may say, "Get over it!! - Life goes on" but it is the lesson behind it that I want to impart to all my readers.

Internet security should never be taken lightly. They are so many ways hackers can get to your account and your pc - from viruses, trojan to keyloggers and automatic form filing. Also avoid joining "too good to be true websites" that offers for example $500 per click. Chances are they are scammers and they sell their databases together with your userid and passwords!

Ways to avoid being "hijacked"
  • Choose a good long password, preferably alpha-numeric
  • Have a few good ones committed to memory and rotate them every two weeks or once a month
  • Make sure these password are different. They should not be eg 123abc, 123def. etc. They shoud start different, have different middle and different end
  • Clean your PC often of viruses and other undesirable, unwanted elements

PS: I am not an expert in the topic but thought I just let you know what I know so far.. I am still so frustrated at myself.. and I hope none of you will encounter the same or any similar experiences.

Cheers

Blogging with Desi Baba

I must say I love hopping over to Desi Baba's blog. It always gives me great tips on blogging and how to monetize my own website.

One post that really caught my attention this time around was his tips on "Rules to consider when blogging for Payperpost". My own blog was recently approved by PPP and in my excitement I "forgot" to read the "fine lines". So while back in my hometown Singapore, I was dismayed to see that two of my post was rejected all because I had one sponsored post after another. Erkkkk!!!.. So what did I do?? I cheated. hehe..I rearranged my other post and whatdayya know.. it got approved.

Another post that really was useful to me was on adsense placement. After readying his reviews (although I can't seem to find the link now), I revamped my own blog, found the codes to put my ads in each post and now am on my way to earning there as well.

One should really consider visiting Desi's blog to get fantastic blogging tips. He covers topics such as :

How to write a quality post
How to Wrap Words around images in blog post
and my own personal favorite
Common mistake of blogging part 1 and 2 (although I am breaking the rules a bit here - sorry Desi or is it Sunny??..lol)

So now off to Blogging with Desi Baba's website for more interesting read :)

ClicksforCents.com pays you $0.02 per click!

WoW! Wow! and more WoW! ClicksforCents actually pays you $0.02 per click with each ad lasting only 20seconds. This is so far the highest paying PaidtoClick program around. Remember though they only allow one account per household otherwise you are considered cheating.

This program payout by Paypal on the 20th of the month for the previous month's earnings. Example if you earn $10 by the end of June you will received payment on July 20th.

It is so easy to earn with this program. I am on my second day and already earned $0.50 and they seemed to have new ads every time I log in. If you decide to join me please make sure the referral code says "ladyjava" and do let me know by leaving me a comment. Thanks so much and have a great weekend :)

Cheers!

View4pay.com - $0.02 per click

There are so many new Paid to Click programs in our midst that sometimes you just don't know whether they are copy cats and just out to scam members but this one I was attracted to. Its called View4pay.com. It offers $0.02 per click and $0.01 from every referral click they make. Payout is at $5.00 via Paypal, E-Gold or Moneybookers.

They also currently offering 1000 clicks AND 25,000 banner impressions for a low price of $25. Separately at View4Pay this would cost $35. Thats a saving of $10 for loads of advertising to thousands of members.

This is a new opportunity, so now is the time to strike :)

This way to Bux.to...

Another adbux clone is our midst people... it's called Bux.to and it's making it's presence known. Launched on 12th June, the program works exactly like adbux.org in that it offers $0.01 per click and 100% from what your referral click. If you have missed the adbux boat in being a pioneer there.. then this is the program to join. Bux.to also have a similar upgrade program where you can purchase 35 unreferred members for the price of $34.95 which I feel is pretty cheap. Assuming all these members are active you'll probably earn around $105.00 monthly!

As conservative as I am, I will stick with the the free version first and consider the upgrade later. Cashout is via Paypal at $10.00

Advertising here is also an attractive option as they offer 100views of 30seconds each for $3.40. Pretty cheap if you ask me.

Paypal and You

I was at mylot recently and a poster ask a very good question about the payment processor Paypal. For those of you that don't have much experience with this payment processor, perhaps the short writeup below can share some light :)

Differences between personal and premier account.

With Paypal personal account, you are not charged when you received payment from anyone unless that person is paying you using a debit or credit card. I've had first hand experience with this because I have received multiple payment as a personal account and have never been charged a single cent until I received notification of incoming payment from a sender using credit card payment.

The charge for accepting such payment is higher if you are on a personal account. My suggestion is if you are expecting more than 5 payments via credit or debit card, then premier account is the way to go - otherwise the personal account is more than sufficient.

Since paypal allow each member to have two accounts, it is worthwhile to have both as both accounts are free and it is worthwhile to note which programs pays from paypal to paypal account or credit card to paypal account. If you don't know then just sign up with your personal account. If there is notification of payment before accepting the funds, then you would know that the sender is sending via credit card and perhaps you can cancel the funding and request that the sender use your premier account instead.

Hope the information above gives a clearer view of the two accounts.

I love PayPerPost.com

After a loonnggg wait - 90 days to be exact, my blog has finally be approved by PayPerPost.com (PPP) program. Yipeeee for me..lol...

For new bloggers, let me tell you this is the site you want to write for. The program has excellent reputation, a great paymaster and the opportunities for bloggers to write about whatever they fancy and get PAID for it, is endless. Basically PPP is an opportunity for advertisers to create buzz about their program and products in registered publishers blog (that's you - the blogger). It is a way for advertisers to advertise on blogs and you as host get paid for it! Nice eh?

Within the first few minutes after approval, I headed over to PPP and chose what I wanted to write for and submitted my entry for approval. I was really motivated at seeing Colleen's earning of USD$12,279.64! Wow!, the number of things I can do with that money. The new PDA phone I've dreamed of suddenly did not seem to be out of reach no more :-)

Thank you PayPerPost. I LOVE YOU!!
XOXOXOX

An update on Trafficpros.us

Trafficpros.us had issued an annoucement via email to all membership with the following message

Post date: 2 June 2007
The bad news is that effective immediately TrafficPros.us will no longer be able to pay members to surf. The reason for this is because there is not enough funds coming in to accommodate these earnings. I was trying to be generous to all members by letting you earn cash per surf, but I have realized that this is not feasible at this time.
TrafficPros.us is still pretty new and we continue to grow, but we are just not getting enough paying members to payout cash per surf. I hope that everyone understands this and you will continue to support us even though we will not be able to pay for surfing. Thank you.

Just wanted to let everyone know in case you guys miss the announcement.
