Transaction Complete

Ok folks, I promised I was gonna update you on my withdrawal from Malaysian Paypal account to my Al-Rajhi debit card. So here's the update :-)

I am happy to report the money was successful transfered to my bank account as shown below. It was super fast. I requested for the transfer on 28th December and on the 31st, the money's in the bank already. Well done Paypal. Well done Al-Rahji. The RM1 was a charge by the bank for the activation of the debit card with Paypal.

Life's great ain't it.

Happy New Year people and may the new year bring forth more online money for us all :-)

BlogCharm site shut down

Are you a blogcharm site user? Well I use blogcharm to blog about my payout proof. Unfortunately when I check in today, I found this notice at their site.

What is worse, there is no way to enter the site anymore and no way to access to my entries and no way to save my entries as well! Also I've not even met their minimum payout yet which means I could not request for payout as well! Arghhh!!!

Oh well, you win some, you lose some I guess! So in meantime, please bear with me while I create another blog for my payout proof ya!

My Official Withdrawal to my Debit Card

Ok. I've finally got my Expanded Use number from my online credit card bankin. This took two days. Like I wrote before, this process could take longer if you don't have online banking for your credit card as you will need to get your statement in the slow mail.

I've entereed the number as requested and now my (or actually, my hubby's paypal account) is now officicially verified and I can start withdrawing money to the Al-Rajhi debit card.

I will update you again when I receive my money in the bank!

Paypal Money.. come to Momma!

I finally did it. Actually my hubby finally did it. Opened a Al Rajhi Bank Account I mean. The process was effortless, no queue, no crowd. Perfect day at the bank. I decided to ask hubby to opened the account in his name so as to avoid complicated sign up, you know me being a foreigner and need work permit lah, copy of social visa pass lah.. so troublesome.

In fifteen minutes, all was done. The savings account was opened with only a minimum amount of RM20 needed but hubby ended up putting RM50 instead. We got the ATM cum debit visa card and we are set to go.

Upon reaching home, I switched on the computer, activated the internet banking, created a new paypal account for hubby and entered the debit card digits. All done in a breeze. I transfered USD105 from my own verified paypal account to hubby's account and was all ready to do that wonderful transfer to the debit card. Now to let you know, I've been withdrawing my earnings from my paypal account to my Singapore bank account without any hiccups so I did not need to do this but since I decided I want to spend my earnings here in Malaysia and if I were to withdraw from my SG account here using the ATM, I would lose out in terms of the currency rate, hence this exercise.

Anyway, after reading so many positive reviews and ease of this particular exercise, I thought why not. So I clicked on the withdraw tab, entered the amount USD105, $5 being the withdrawal fee and hit Enter. And what do I see:

After checking and rechecking and after confirmation with Marzie, it seems I need to get this paypal account verified first using my, well in this case, hubby's normal credit card. A verified account would not encounter this problem as there are no withdrawal limit. See no one told me that. And also you can't verify your paypal account using a debit card. Believe me, I try..lolz

So here are tips on a successful transfer:
  1. After creating your Malaysian paypal account, immediately verify it using your credit card. This process would take take between 2 to 3o days. Two days if you have access to your credit card account online and thirty if you only receive your statement via normal mail. This is because to verify your account you need what paypal refer to as "Expanded Use Number" which can be found on the transaction detail of your credit card charge
  2. One note on setting up your account. Please make sure that the name you used to sign up with paypal is the same as your bank, credit and debit card account. This is to avoid any unnecessary complications later.
  3. Then in my case, open up a Al-Rajhi Bank savings account. You only need RM20 to start and you'll get your debit cum ATM card immediately upon application. Activate your internet banking if you so desire at their ATM machine.
  4. Then log into your paypal account. Enter another credit/debit card number which can be found in your profile and withdraw away. Remember not to withdraw too much on your first transaction, coz I read somewhere, paypal might freeze your account or something. So remember go slow!
Good luck!...

Don't Trust Too Easily

Earlier today, while clicking on my paid to read emails, I got an email from the admin of No-Minimum, a program that have paid me multiple times before. This time however, the title and the content of the email really caught my eyes. Here's the screen capture:

So here's the attachment:

Noticed the url of this site:

Because I was skeptical about the url, I did not fill in any information but still clicked on the "Get my Prize" button instead and surprisingly another page opened:

Again, I did not fill in any information but click on the "Get your Prize" button again... an E-gold form site appeared:

I wrote to the admin of the program and as what I have suspected, here's their reply which came very promptly:

So folks, don't get too excited by any kind of email especially if it says you won something. Check and re-check the url and if in doubt write to the admin of the program from the program's main page. I would have lost $9.25 today if I had not paid attention to details like the url. And remember if you did fill up any information, now is the time to change all those password :-)

Make Money Videos

Like me, you probably have tons of videos that you store in your hard drive in hopes of sharing it with your readers someday. Well, the time is now because with AdoTube.com, not only can you show off your videos, you can make money from it too! Your interest peaked? Good!

With Google slashing our PR because of, shall I say, compensated posting, now is the time to look at other avenues to earn from your blog and this program may just be it. What happens is when you show your videos online, there is this “roll-over mouse” message and when the mouse rolls over the area, an interactive ad which is demographically targeted for the viewer will appear. This is strictly opt-in so you choose what videos will show the ads. Below is their press release that would explain the program more.

Press Release:

Blogs, online Web logs or journals, have become wildly popular -- so much so that Business Week printed an article, earlier this year, to shed some light on just how many blogs there are and how often people participate in this form of communication. They reported that there are over 70 million blogs worldwide, with over 15 million of them being considered active, that is, updated regularly.

Research shows that about 1.5 million new blog posts are created every day. Most bloggers set out to make money from their blogs, yet the majority of them don’t know the most lucrative routes to take in order to make that actually happen.

“There are people out there making a living off of blogging, and there are some making just a little bit each month,” explains Leo Grzhonko, president of Adotube.com. “The difference between making nothing and getting paid each month to share your thoughts on a blog comes down to taking advantage of proper revenue channels.”

There are many routes people can take in an effort to raise money from their blog. But if people aren’t keeping up on the latest methods, they may not be getting what they could in return. Many bloggers have taken advantage of the viewer’s love of watching online videos, coupled with their experience of not wanting to be interrupted by advertisements. This route is one that many find in the AdoTube Interactive In-Stream Media Player Technology. They have made it as easy as showing online videos with an intriguing “roll-over mouse” message. When the mouse rolls over the area, an interactive ad -- demographically targeted for the viewer -- appears.

“Our opt-in advertising technology was created for those seeking a simple and effective way to make money online,” adds Grzhonko. “We refer to it as the in-stream interactive online video monetizing solution. With this, anyone can take their blog or Web site and turn it into a profitable venture.”

So, are you ready to show off those videos now and earn? Check out their website for more details.

Good News from WidgetBucks

I knew there was good reason to procastinate sometimes. WidgetBucks (WB) have recently sent out an email to all its members regarding their newly launched International CPM ads for blogs with lots of non-US traffic.

I'll let the email do the explaination..

Dear WidgetBucks Publishers,

As mentioned in our email at the end of November, today we have successfully launched International CPM ads to be included in our Widgets.

We are now serving CPM ads to the non-U.S./Canada traffic. This will give you revenue, per impression, for your site visitors who come from other countries. This is designed to help publishers who have a blend of traffic from a variety of countries.

Our system will do the geo-location for you, determining where the visitor is coming from. Then we'll either show the regular pay-per-click widget (to visitors from the U.S. and Canada) or show an ad that pays per impression (to visitors from other countries).

To get started, you will need to log into your WidgetBucks account and re-copy the Widget code under "My Widgets". After you replace the code on your site, the widget will update ad types automatically.

We're also proud to mention that we've been selected as a finalist for the Open Web Awards. We invite you to visit the site and vote for WidgetBucks!

If you have any questions about the launch of International CPM ads, please contact us at http://support.mpire.com

Happy earning!
The WidgetBucks Team

So I hoped you had taken my advice for that wait and see attitude first or did you already removed your widget??

Catch the Wave!

In my quest to ever make money online, I found another opportunity to make money blogging. Yes! Ching-ching!. LOL

The program is from bloggerwave and anyone who is interested to "blog for money" should really give it a try. My blog was approved within minutes and I was able to take up this opportunity to write about them immediately upon blog approval. I say... Real Sweetness :-).. As I wasn't very sure about the posting method, I wrote to the admin and what do you know he/she responded in record time. Now that is customer service.

Bloggerwave also has plenty of opportunities and I really look forward to write for them more often but since my blog is relatively new, I only have a few opportunities open to me currently.

So what are you waiting for....Catch the blog wave with Bloggerwave.... ching ching :)

Ask the Marketing Guy

I just sent a second email recently to a company that advertised online for Betta Fighters (a kind of fighting fish) for someone I know. It's now been a week since the first email and I was getting frustrated as I did not get any response from them. I figured the reason why they are not answering is probably because my email went to their spam box or something.

Then as I was surfing today, I found this website that had an article on how to let recipients know that your email is not a spam email. It is basically written by Jeffrey Gray, the Marketing Guy at iContact who would answer any questions you may have related to online and multi-channel communications.

This is really a useful site and any questions that you may have will be answered in their iContact Marketing Monthly and in their iContact Blog. So ask away people.

Important Updates from WidgetBucks

In case you guys missed the latest update from WB, here's the email containing important updates regarding the program.

Dear WidgetBucks Publishers,

We're seeing strong traffic on the WidgetBucks shopping widgets during this holiday season and wanted to tell you about three things: new International CPM Ads, removing pending data, and payments coming soon.

International CPM Ads

Here's an upcoming feature. In early December, we will start serving CPM ads to the non-U.S./Canada traffic.

You'll see a new column, called "CPM Revenue" in your earnings reports.

We're also working on pay-per-click arrangements with global merchants, but those will take longer to implement. We're glad to deliver a way for you to monetize almost all of your traffic in December. Please check our blog at http://widgetbucks.blogspot.com for further updates on this.

Removing Pending Data

We'd like to give you some advance notice of a pending change that will help publishers manage their business. Next week, we will remove the "pending" data from the "My Widgets" page. This data is the numbers that are displayed in red. Instead we will only display audited data in black.

We're making this change because we've worked with our merchant partners and succeeded in speeding up the auditing process, which many of our publishers requested. Audits now take up to 24 hours, instead of the previous timeframe of up to 72 hours.

When we make this change next week, you will only see audited figures (in black) and they will be displayed by noon (Pacific Standard Time) of the following day. So, by noon on Tuesday, you'll be able to see all of your confirmed clicks, revenue, and RPCs for Monday.

This change will remove confusion about the red pending figures, and frustration about changes from the pending to audited figures. Thus the clicks and revenue you see will be the confirmed clicks and revenue, which will then not change. Please check our blog for more info: http://widgetbucks.blogspot.com.

First payments coming soon!

We're very excited that our first set of payments are lined up to go out early next week. Our deadline is by December 15th (45 days after the end of October), but we are working very hard to get them out to everyone at the beginning of December.

We would like to remind you that we need correct payment information from you to be able to send you your payments. Please go to the My Settings page and indicate if you want to be paid by check or by PayPal. Reminder: PayPal is faster. Checks are sent regular U.S. mail. All payments are in U.S. dollars.

If we don't have your correct payee information and mailing address or your correct PayPal e-mail address, we won't be able to send you money. So please go to https://www.widgetbucks.com/mySettings.page and make sure the information is there and correct.

Happy earning!

The WidgetBucks Team

This is good news.. I 'm glad I've not done any drastic like deleting my account with them or something..

Bad Credit? No Problem

I'm sure everyone has their fair share of bad financial times. Whether when you were a young lass or when you were climbing up that challenging ladder of life. If your answer is "No", then you are one lucky human being and keep up the good work. Unfortunately for the majority of us mere mortals, sometimes in a moment of shopping weakness, you splurge and ran a overlimit on your credit card and to make the matter worse, that much anticipated pay raise did not come at the end of month. Before you know it, you're slapped as "bad credit".

Well lucky for us, this is not the end of the world. There is still help out there and you just need to know where to find it. BadCreditOffers dot com offers resources for people with bad credit. There are listing of companies offering bad credit loans and even credit cards.

So Bad Credit? No problem ;)

Update on WidgetBucks

Can't the world like just stop turning for 14 days? I was gone for that number of days and the changes that are going around the blogosphere is maddening. First the PR never ending saga, then IZEA coming up with RealRank and now on my login to WB found that that they are no longer paying for clicks from countries outside of USA and Canada!

Quoted from the site:
Starting tomorrow (Nov. 15), clicks coming from outside the U.S. and Canada on WidgetBucks widgets will no longer be charged to merchants, and therefore, no publisher credit will be given for those clicks. This will positively impact publisher RPC levels, and the change does not affect earnings from October (just posted) or the first half of November.
We will definitely evaluate re-adding certain countries over time and evaluate their conversions -- but for the next few weeks, it's critical that we are diligent about click traffic in order to recover RPC numbers.
So I'm giving the program till the end of the year before making any rash decision to leave the program. What will you do?

PR Yet Again

If you've been concerned over your PR demotion as I was, I'm sure you are going around the web searching for ways to regain what you have before. As in my situation, I was a PR3 before I changed domain name, then it was forever before the new page rank was updated. I was then again PR3 for about 3 weeks before being demoted to PR2 and now, when I just returned from an extended vacation back home, to see that it's a PR0!

I was like "WHAT??"

I went round searching for "WHY" answers but most importantly any "HOW" answers as to perhaps get back my ranking? I found the best way from this site which not only explains why but also how to go around the system. Perhaps you'll find the tips there useful as well..

Good luck

My Blog Design Sucks

My blog design sucks! I am currently in Singapore and managed to just sneak into a cyber cafe after a shopping spree with mommy and upon checking my site, I noticed that all my blog design sucks viewing it in IE6. The margins are all screwed up and all alignment are off!. The problem was when I was doing it back home in KL, using Firefox 2(I think, correct me if I'm wrong hubby), and IE7 (again correct me if I'm wrong love), everything looks perfect... now I'm really inching to see where the coding went wrong.. Arghhhhh and this cyber cafe USB port don't work so I can't screen capture for you guys to see what I mean....Arghhghggh!!!

Guess I just have to be patient lah!! Relax LJ, relax.. you're not supposed to be checking in anyways..hehehe

When in shortage... get a loan

Back when I was a working gal, it was always nice to know that there was regular money coming in the end of the month. I could work out a budget and I could plan for all those nice things that I wanted to buy. Yet, there were times when somehow some calculation goes awry or some unexpected event happened like the car breaking down or that shop I love so much have a super mega sale and I just needed to get that new handbag and shoe to match. At times like that I wished Payday Loans exists here in my world.

Just what is payday loan you might ask. Well this is a short term loan or cash advance that is meant to tie you over till your next payday. It could range from $100 to $1,500 and at Paydayloanquotes dot com, they don't even do a credit check and you can get a quotation online without any obligation.

Like I said.. just what I needed, back then that is :-)

Do you blog?

Again, my question was, "Do you Blog?". Do you enjoy blogging? Are you blogging for free? Well, if you are, then wake up and smell the roses bloggers, because now you can blog for money.

I know, I know. There are bloggers out there who frowns on what we do, even making statements like we are selling our soul or something, but hey, if I can blog, have fun and make money at the same time, I'm not going to feel guilty about it. If you are a smart blogger, you can integrate your paid link in such a way, no one's the wiser and believe it or not, you can submit blog entries that are based on honest opinion. When I was in school, we had a song that has lyrics that goes..

"It's rude to be abusive, just to proof you are right"
So even if you want to write something bad about the site you are reviewing, be smart about it, give constructive criticism. Don't be part of the problem, be part of the solution.

Now, having said this, I am writing for Smorty dot com. This is the easiest program that I have signed up for. By that I mean, the approval for entry post is superfast, customer service is fantastic and they are so flexible in terms of what you write. As long as your blog qualifies for a certain topic, you can write about it on all of them. The uniqueness of the entry is understood right? And get this, Smorty has now got a referral program, so when someone else join the program from your link, (ahem, ahem, like the one below), you get a percentage what they earn for as long as they active.

So, what are you waiting for, come and join me and join the new era of blogging for money.

PR Smoked!

What's happening with the PR? I checked into PPP last night to see only 3 offers and after checking with the "my blogs" tab, I found both of my blogs registered with them have dropped from PR3 to PR2 and the one with PR2 has dropped to PR1. What the #@## is going on. I then checked with the PRchecker website that I normally use and found that my PR has indeed dropped. I went on to check some other sites that I know of and lo and behold, theirs have dropped too.. So now, I'm thinking maybe it's a glitch but till now..my blogs status has not changed it's status quo.

Oh well.. I guess I just have to do the best I can with whatever I have and stay happy always.. I'm sure there's a greater picture than this :-)

The MLM Bug

When I was over at my friend's house during the Hari Raya's open house last week, his mom introduced us to yet another multilevel marketing program that, according to her, is making members millionaires easily. The company has been around for about five years and is making headlines in Indonesia, Singapore and yes, Malaysia. Honestly, I grow weary of MLM programs and was not at all impressed with the business plan but I was intrigued by the products though and so I relented. I am now officially a member of the club (so I would probably be a millionaire next year..lolz) and off to make my first purchase later today.

Hmm... what have I gotten myself into??

Shareapic DownTime

I'm an avid fan of Shareapic dot net and uses the site to host most of my pictures, so I was quite concern when most of the thumbnails on my blogs disappear leaving just words with no pictures. So today I tried to go to their website and got a Plesk error page like the one shown below and I thought, oh dear.. all my images and money gone??

Instead of becoming stressed out about it, I did a Google search. Who know they might have changed domain and forgot to tell us members..lolz. Anyway this was what I found.

Check out the explanation of the site and also look at my site.. it's third in line on Google page with search word "shareapic". I'm so proud...hehhe

My blog just got approved today by another paid to blog program called Payu2Blog dot com. I have been eyeing this program for so long and have submitted my blog before the page rank update once. Unfortunately they were rejected as expected. However, after the page rank update, I tried my luck again. Whaddaya know, my PR4 blog was accepted. According to a friend of mine, Payu2Blog program has been very good to her so I am looking forward to earning with them as well.

Adsense in your RSS

If you are using feedburner dot com as your RSS syndicator, you might want to check into your account and make sure you activate your FeedBurner Ad Network and Google Adsense for content id under the "Monetize" tab. You can then configure how you want these ads to appear in your feed and on your web site.

Firstly you have to go...

Next you have to change this option..

to ...

After this, the system would ask you to enter your email address that you use to log into your adsense account with and either your postal code or the last five digit of the phone number that you register in your account.

Once everything is confirmed, you will then see this screen

Click in the box and everything that was dimmed before will be instantly clear. From this screen, you can select what channel and ads configuration you so desire. And then you are done. That's it folks...

I'm not sure whether it works yet. Theoretical it should, so the next time I see it I will update this post ok?

No Sleep No Post

I am so tired today. The sleepover at hubby's office was alright but very uncomfortable. The comforter and carpet lining helped but still it was not my comfy bed and I missed my bolster!...Drats the water supply. There was no supply till late in the evening. We arrived home and after checking there was no water supply, we went straight back to the office. I was hoping I could get some sleep..

So now I am very sleepy already and it is still VERY early by my standard.. but I can't think anymore so goodnight PPP... I'll check in with you tomorrow ya :-)

No Water No Talk

Water issues sucks in condominium. At least mine does. Firstly we, condo dwellers, are charge RM1.85 per cubic meter when others are being charge only about half of that. You know I pay like RM40.00 a month for my water bill while my FIL only pays like RM25.00. Mind you, our apartment is like 1/4 of what FIL's house is. He waters his plants daily, four grown adults living there, daily cooking and daily laundry. We only have 2 adults, once a week laundry, the occasional cooking and no plants to water!

So, I ask you. Is it fair? Don't mind me though, I'm just grouchy coz I had to sleep at hubby's office because despite paying a bomb for the water supply at home, yesterday there was no supply at ALL!.. and today.. still no water! Arghghghghgh..

Honey darling.. we got to move!

Going Offline to Online

As much as I dislike direct selling programs, sometimes they do have their advantages. I mean there are so many here in Malaysia and only currently in Singapore that you can't help but be exposed to them and get a little bit influenced with the products that they carry.

I've been a member of a program in Malaysia for the longest time and I've always loved their products. Although I don't push their products to friends or relatives or try and recruit everyone under the sun, I must admit their products really works for me and whoever who uses them. For example a friend of mine is always complaining how she has to soak and re-soak her son's school uniform for a long time before the stains around the collar as well as other stains that her son picked up along the way will go off. There's only so much a friend can endure, so I recommended her something I was using. Till now she swears by the product. She is now a my downline and an active one as well :-)

This brings me to the business aspect of direct selling program. Many of these programs are all offline, which means it is only available to the local market since the stockist are all locally based as well. I am thinking of "expanding" my own business by perhaps selling the products online so that it will now not only be available here but also for everyone else around the world. I could purchase an ecommerce software complete with shopping cart and see how the demand is. I don't want to spend unnecessary money first so I can probably try the software from AShop Commerce that offer a 10 days trial complete with free store design and evaluate from there.

Wish me luck :-)

Get Your Website Graded

Have your ever wondered how your website or blog is doing in terms of marketing effectiveness? Or just for fun, have you often wish you know how you fare next to that famous money making blog that you have been reading secretly daily. Well have no fear, Website Grader is here.

Website Grader dot com is a free SEO tool that measures the marketing effectiveness of a website. It provides a score that incorporates things like webite traffic, SEO, social popularity and other technical factors. It also provides some basic advice on how the website can be improved from a marketing perspective.

I tested it on this site and out of a possible 100, it scored a nice 70 and is placed on number 78 on the search ranking for keyword "make money"..lolzz...

I did say it was just for fun right?...

Yey.. My first offer on PPP Direct

To some of you great money making bloggers out there, this might not be a big deal but for me it means extra income and a big boost to my EGO. Someone like my writing..heheh..I think however, it has more to do with the fact that blog has a PR4 ranking ;-)

Anyway, am a very happy girl today and singing my way to the bank...lolz..

I'm so vain

I was reading a fellow blogger post on goggling your name or id and decided to see what comes on when I type "LadyJava" on google. What do you know? The first two finds are my site, the third one belonged to some ladyjava dot net (not me folks and yes there is someone out there using the same nick.. perhaps I should trademark this name? lolz), and the rest of the find on the first page was either my other pages or refer to me at some other sites. Really cool..

Now, if only this site comes on the first page on google using the keywords "Make Money Online" I'll be famous ;-)

What a wonderful day..

How did the PR3 ranking changed my life? It made the day wonderful...heheh.. I mean I had a wonderful day today with all the "open house" invitation we got but the day was made more sweet when I logged into my PPP account and see twenty something opportunities instead of the measly three or four offers that I get daily before the PR update. Now, I can take my time choosing the opps to write for.. Woott!!!

PageRank Oh PageRank..

Google finally updated their pagerank today and I must admit after reading that some "A-class" bloggers had their pagerank dropped in the past few days set me thinking that perhaps I don't stand a chance of having any pagerank at all..hehe.. well I am happy to report that I have not lost my original pagerank since losing it when I change domain some time back and now it stands proud as ever at PR3..hehe

That might not be good but it's definitely NOT bad..

What's your pagerank? Has your blog's page rank improved or otherwise?

The Easier Business Loan

If you own a business in Malaysia, you'll know how difficult it is to get a business loan. Your company needs to be at least three years old, of good standing with the bank and you need to already be paying company taxes. The processing takes forever and sometimes no reply ever come to let you know whether the loan has been approved or otherwise. It is no wonder then that lots of businessman sometimes have to resort to illegal money lenders to fund their businesses or even to get short term loans.

How I wish sites like EZUnsecured dot come exists in the Malaysia market. They not only specialized in unsecured Business Loans but also offers fast funding, great service and easy processing. You'll get to know if your business loan is approved in one to three days and you'll get your funds in one to three weeks!

Like their slogan say : No time + No Collateral = No Problem

I love Marketing Pond

I received an email today from Marketing Pond today giving notice that they have removed three programs from their list namely:
  1. Clixmedia - due to adult content and numerous popup adverts
  2. AdSentive - due to non-payout and lack of adverts. To make it clear, their terms state payout request will be granted within or soon after 30 days of the request
  3. OnlineEarnings - - due to lack of payout and low adverts
It is so great to have a reputable site like Marketing Pond to monitor all these programs for you. As I myself take some time to reach payout, MP really makes it easier to know what program to continue with or just drop. That way I don't get scammed anymore..

Thank you Marketing Pond. With you, I definitely swim :-)
